We love to meet new families!
We are pleased to welcome you and your children to Azalea Pediatrics. We welcome new patients starting at birth, and established patients can be seen up to their nineteenth birthday.
Evidence-Based Care
Azalea Pediatrics looks forward to caring for your child, if we are the right choice for your family. Our practice uses evidence-based practice guidelines which includes responsible use of antibiotics and vaccinating on the ACIP vaccine schedule. Please read our vaccination policy.
Ongoing Relationships
Our practice is a one-physician practice, so you will see Dr. Brown at your appointments. No need to wonder who you will see or whether they will know your medical history.
Welcoming Environment
We want our office to be a safe place for your family and as such we do not tolerate discrimination of any kind. Families come in many shapes, and we support those families.
Insurance
Please verify that we are in-network with your insurance before scheduling. If we are not in network, we can see you out of network or on a cash pay basis.
Office Hours
Please look at our office hours and make sure they will work for your family.
Accepted Insurance
- Azalea Pediatrics accepts most major insurance plans, including Georgia Medicaid and Tricare. Please verify with your insurance that we are in-network.
At this time, we do NOT accept Alabama Medicaid or Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia High Performance Network Plan.
As we are a new practice, we will be adding insurances over time, so feel free to check with our office to see if we plan to take your insurance in the near future.
Join Our Practice
Please call us for initial registration. Once completed, you can fill out the rest of the registration forms through the patient portal or from the files available for download on our website.
- We will need your vaccine record prior to scheduling the first visit.
- Please make sure to fill out a records release so we can obtain your child’s previous records.
- If your insurance requires a PCP to be listed, please make sure to change this to Dr. Brown prior to their appointment.
Are you expecting?
Thank you for considering us to care for your new addition. We offer a small meet and greet once a month for expecting parents so they can meet Dr. Brown and tour the office. Dr. Brown will briefly go over office policies and you will have the opportunity to ask questions to determine if our practice is the right fit for you.
It is not necessary to attend one of the meetings to become a patient. Once your baby is born, notify the hospital that you have chosen our practice for your pediatrician and call to schedule their first appointment, typically 24-72 hours after hospital discharge. Please remember to bring the baby’s discharge paperwork with you to their first appointment.
